For any order that is imported from shopify and has already been paid, a refund can be done in Orderbot, and the refund will be reflected in Shopify. Please note if a refund has been done in Shopify first, it will not flow back to Orderbot.
For this type of refund, only a dollar amount not associated with the return of any products, will be refunded. In the example below, we will be making a refund for $1 since our customer was dissatisfied with the service.
- Go to Orders > View Orders and search for the order you want to make a refund for. Search for the Shopify Order number in the Purchase Orders field, or if you know the Orderbot OrderID, you can search in that field.
- Click on the account name (in brackets) to open the Account page.
- Click on the "Accounting" tab, to bring you to the Account Details page.
- Once on the Account Details page, find the order you want process a refund for, and click the red plus sign under the "Refunds" column.
- Enter the amount to refund, and any notes that should be communicated to the customer about why they are getting a refund. This includes:
- Refund Balance: How much is being refunded.
- A check/auth number: This is just for reference. You can put "1" if there is no auth number associated.
- Refund Note: A note about why the refund is being processed. This appears in shopify.
- Once the refund has successfully been submitted, you will see a refund record created in orderbot. Similarly, you can see the order in Shopify processed as "partially refunded."
