Overview
To update or import inventory in bulk, use the CSV import feature. This method is helpful for first-time imports or when working with large product sets.
Instructions
Export Inventory
- Go to Products > Inventory > Inventory Adjust | Count from CSV.
- Click Export Current Inventory to download a CSV of your current inventory. This file matches the format used for re-importing updates.
Edit the CSV
- Open the file in Excel. Use the New QTY column to enter inventory changes.
To schedule changes, update the Date column. Use the format:
YYYY-MM-DD
.Inventory Count
Enter new counts in the New QTY column. This value replaces the existing inventory for the specified date. Leave it blank to retain the current quantity.
Inventory Adjustment
- Use a positive number to add units (e.g.,
+2
). - Use a negative number to subtract units (e.g.,
-2

to make no changes.

Import the File
- Return to Inventory Adjust | Count from CSV and configure the following:
- Product Class – The product class you want to update.
- Distribution Centre (DC) – Required to specify location.
- Adjustment / Count – Choose one:
- Adjustment – To add or subtract quantity.
- Count – To set a specific total quantity.
- Adjustment Reason – Select a reason if performing an adjustment.
- Click Choose File to upload your CSV.
- Click View CSV File to preview the upload.
- Review the details and click Submit Inventory Adjustments to apply changes.
Error Handling
If your file contains errors, a message will display instructions to fix them.
Common Issues
- Missing Product ID
- Date format is incorrect (must be
YYYY-MM-DD
) - File format is not CSV
- Column structure doesn't match template
Tip: Re-export the inventory file to get a valid template if needed.
