Overview
The following guide explains how to locate and manage customer records using the OmniPoint Order Management system. Users can apply a variety of search filters to narrow results and ensure quick access to desired customer data.
Instructions
Accessing Customer Management
- Go to Customers > Manage Customers.
- Use filters (state, sales rep, etc.) to narrow down your search.
- Click Search.
Search Filters
Filters help you narrow down your search so that you can locate a specific customer among the hundreds or thousands you have entered in the system. If your search would return more than 400 customers, you will be prompted to refine your search.
Sales Channel – If multiple sales channels are selected, all will be included in your search. Click on the X next to a sales channel to exclude it.
Customer/Account – By default, your search will find customers. Shipping information is stored in the customer profile. If you select account instead, you'll pull up the profile where billing information is stored.
Available Search Fields:
- First Name / Last Name – The name of your customer or their company contact. Ensure exact spelling.
- Company/Organization – Searches the Store Name or Account Name based on the selected Customer/Account filter.
- Country/State/City – Select from dropdowns or input a city name to refine results geographically.
- Customer Number / Account Number – Use to find the unique ID for a customer or account. This appears in the 'Client/Account Number' column.
- Reference ID – Searches the 'Other ID' field, often used for imports from other systems.
- ZIP/Postal Code – Filters customers by shared address ZIP or postal code.
- Email Address – Finds customers by primary email, which must be unique for customers.
- Phone Number – Helps avoid duplicates by filtering by phone number.
- Order ID – Use the OmniPoint Order Management order ID (not an external system ID) to locate associated customers.
- Sales Rep – Search by sales rep to find customers they manage. Sales-rep level users can only see their own assignments.
